The origins tell us that it was the Muslims who left us the raw materials for nougat (almonds and honey) as their legacy.

Over time, in the face of such exquisite and energetic delicacies, medieval inhabitants specialized and created guilds where nougat masters distributed privileges…

and ingredients until they had enough (and even went to court).

The soft or Jijona nougat, as we know it today, was born because, as the classic nougat recipe spread, honey and almond reserves were drastically reduced, and someone decided to try mixing in sugar as well.

The result was this softer, more palatable, and sweeter mass that appeals to both young and old.

With 64% of our own organic almonds as the main ingredient, it now meets all the requirements to be called Supreme Quality.

For Christmas, and for non-Christmas occasions

Some people save this nougat for the December holidays, but it’s perfect to give as a gift for a weekend meal or to serve as a snack with coffee and tea during dessert time.

All its ingredients are natural and free from artificial additives and preservatives.

The good thing is that you won’t need them… because once you start, this nougat doesn’t last.
